The District Court of Colombo issued an order preventing the UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe from taking any disciplinary action against SLMC leader and Minister of Justice Rauff Hakeem and six other SLMC party members, today.
The SLMC had contested General Elections in 2010 from the UNP led United National Front and later supported the government to implement the Amendment to the Constitution.
In last November, SLMC Parliamentarians crossed over to the government and the UNP was to take disciplinary action against the crossed over SLMCers.
The Court order preventing UNP take disciplinary action is valid till February 24.
