US gives $1.6 m more for flood relief [February 12 2011]

The United States has announced an additional $ 1.6 million to restore livelihood in flood hit areas.

The Ambassador Patricia A. Butenis announced the grating of additional relief assistance yesterday.

“This grant will help people restart their livelihoods and re-establish normal and healthy working lives after the floodwater recede”, she said.

Including the additional flood relief, the total US flood aid amounts to $ 2.7 million.
