The government refuted any move by to sell the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC). Minister of Petroleum Industry, Susil Premajayantha denied the allegation leveled by the UNP that one third of the CPC is to be sold to Indian Oil Company.
UNP Parliamentarian Gayantha Karunathilleke had claimed the government for selling the CPC to cover the losses incurred by the Hedging Agreement.
