Tamil refugees in Tamil Nadu urge to return to SL

<P>En route to Delhi, over 100 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees from camps in Tamil Nadu and Orissa on Monday entered into Maharashtra through Adilabad.

<P>Their aim is to meet government functionaries and BJP leaders in Delhi and urge them to ensure the implementation of the India-Sri Lanka accord signed in 1987.

<P>The 2,005-km march which started at the Rajiv Gandhi memorial at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu on January 16, will culminate in Delhi on March 18.

<P>The rallyists belong to the Eelam National Democratic Liberation Front.

<P>ENDLF Deputy General Secretary S. Vaseekaran told The Hindu here that 3,700 Tamils had followed the Indian Peace Keeping Force personnel from Sri Lanka in 1991.

<P>Though they want to return to their homeland, the situation back home was not conducive. - The Hindu
