The dawn of peace has created a boom in tourism which has helped to increase our revenue by 46 percent last year compared to 2009. Earlier, around 75 percent of foreigners travelled by air while the rest were Sri Lankans.
However, the trend is fast changing with 56 percent foreigners and 44 percent Sri Lankans now take domestic flights.
