Two Lankan pilgrims die in [February 17 2011]

Two Sri Lankan died while trekking the hills in Bihar Pradesh distrcits of Boudh Gaya and Nalanda today. Sri Lanka High Commission in India has taken immediate action to get down the bodies of the two pilgrims.

Widanapathi Rananawati (61) collapsed and died when she was trekking in Ghumgeshwari hill in Gaya district while Wrnudiya Nfelage (76) died following breathlessness while trekking in the Gidhkut hill at Rajgirh in adjoining Nalanda district, according to local police. The bodies were brought to Indian Mahabodhi Society which saught assistance from the Sri Lanka High Commission and their relatives to take back the bodies.

The twi dead were in a group of a 50-member team of pilgrims fromSri Lanka touring Buddhist pilgrim centres in India.
