Govt impose tax on potato imports

<P>The government has decided to increase the existing tax on potato imports with immediate effect.  President Mahinda Rajapaksa gave the orders to increase tax on potato imports to protect local farmers. According to new tax revise,  Rs. 20 will be added to existing tax on each kilo of imported potatos.
