Mahesh Chaaminda Walawegama, wanted in connection with the assaulting of Gampaha District Parliamentarian Upeksha Swarnamali, today surrendered to the Mirihana Police and is due to be produce before the Gangodawila Megistrate.
Walawegama, husband of the actress turned MP Swarnamali, better known as Paba for her popular role in a tele drama series, is accused of assaulting the Parliamentarian who saught treatment from Sri Jayeawrdenepura Hospital due to a family dispute. The MP’s husband is to be charged on domestic violence.
