President says majority of govt servants do a commendable job [February 22 2011]

The majority of Government servants did a commendable job during the recent flood situation and worked tirelessly to help those who were affected, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said today.

Addressing media heads at Temple Trees today, the President said both the government servants as well as the Security Forces did a praiseworthy job during the recent flood situation. “I must say the majority of the Government servants are a dedicated lot and went out of their way to assist those who were rendered homeless during the recent floods. There may be a few who are neglecting their work and the public could lodge complaints against those and we would take necessary action immediately, the President said.
