Mahinda Rajapaksa said today that the Security Forces even sacrificed their meals and offered their food rations to innocent civilians both during the humanitarian operation as well as during the recent floods.
Speaking to chief editors and media heads at Temple Trees today, the President paid a tribute to the Security Forces. “They made immense sacrifices to liberate our motherland. They even offered their food to those thousands of civilians rescued during the humanitarian operations. Similarly, our soldiers showed their human touch by offering even their food rations to those who were rescued during the recent floods,” the President said.
