South Africa captain Graeme Smith won the toss and asked West Indies to bat first in both team’s opening game at the World Group B match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium short while ago.
This will be the first international match at the venue since it was slapped a one-year ban after a 2009 India v Sri Lanka ODI had to be abandoned because of a dangerous pitch.
