The first batch of Sri Lankan expatriates held in Libya returned home when they arrived in Colombo via Jordan. The first batch included over seven Sri Lankans and another 36 are due to arrive Colombo tomorrow.
There were around 800 Sri Lankans in Libya and Sri Lankan authorities are taking adequate steps to evacuate them to Sri Lanka using flights, charter flights, boats and the assistance of other friendly countries such as India.
