Electricity generation capacity increased  to 3470 MW by next year

<P> The government has decided to increase the capacity of the electricity generation to 3470 MW in 2012 and 6367 MW in 2020. 
<P>In order to minimise the cost of electricity generation, steps have been taken to set up coal power plants and hydro power plants while the existing power plants will also be rehabilitated to stabilise their capacity of 1115 MW,CEB sources told the  Observer online.
