Lanka Brazil finalise visa extension agreement [March 07 2011]

The governments of Sri Lanka and Brazil today signed a bilateral agreemennt on the extension of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and service passports, the Foreign Ministry stated. The two governments have also signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a mechanism for political consultations.

The Brazilian External Relations Minister Antonio Patriota today had discussions with External Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris. Minister Patriota is also scheduled to meet with President Mahinda Rajapakse after coming to Sri Lanka as a part of a delegation of high ranking officials upon the request of the External Affairs Minister.
