24-hr power to Mankulam

<P>The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) will invest Rs. 50 million to electrify a 24 kilometer stretch from Mankulam to Poonaryn. 

<P>The work on this project would commence in May and it would benefit over 1,000 families living in the area. This is the first time in the history that some areas would be having access to electricity.

<P>In addition several hospitals schools, places of worship too would be nifit from this and it would also help entrepreneurs to start new  ventures with machinery.
