Agriculture Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene told the parliament today that the country's paddy production has reached to 104% last year with the introduction of fertiliser subsidy by the government.
Before the fertiliser subsidy was granted to farmers, the country's paddy production was between the range of 60 to 70%. The fertiliser subsidy has made direct impact to increase the paddy production.
