The oil tank farm (bunkering facility) of the Ruhunu Magampura Mahinda Rajapaksa Harbor will open in May giving the opportunity for ships to refuel at the harbor.
The bunkering facility will comprise of 14 tanks. Eight tanks will be used to provide oil for ships while three will be used to store LP gas.
Rest of the tanks will be used to provide oil for aircrafts to meet the demand created from the opening the Mattala international airport end of next year.
