The External Affairs Ministry said that the SriLankan Airlines confirmed its willingness to have extra flights to bring back Lankans who are willing to come back from Japan.
Ministry’s Additional Secretary Ranjith Uyangoda said there are over 15,000 Sri Lankans in Japan and if they wish to return they could do the bookings with the SriLanka Airlines.
He said some of their family members had inquired about getting their relatives in Japan back to the country.
