For the first time Indian Embassy has decided to issue online Visas to Sri Lankans with effect form March 25 thus becoming the first country to issue online visas for Sri Lankans.
The new process will enable applicants to obtain visas from their homes, offices and even from Cyber Cafes.
The applicant has to download an application from www.hcicolombo.org fill it and forward it back and also take a print out of the forwarded form.
The applicant must then attach two photographs (2.5x2.5 inches in white background) application fees, passport and the other relevant documents and hand it over to Indian visa Application Centre (VFS Global) in Colombo, Kandy, Jaffna, and at the office in Hambantota.
