The Environment Ministry has launched a Green Circle Project to develop wetlands while conserving local natural resources and providing essential public outdoor recreation space to promote sustainable tourism industry in Sri Lanka.
Streetscape and Liner Park Project at Battaramulla and Bio Diversity and Bird Sanctuary Project at Beddagana are being implemented for wetland development.
