Sri Lanka-England in World Cup ‘quarter’ in Colombo on March 26 [March 20 2011]

Sri Lanka will meet England in the fourth quarter final of the ICC World Cup tournament to be played at the Premadasa Stadium on Saturday (March 26). The final quarter final line up was announced after India convincingly beat the West Indies in their last qualifying round match played in Chennai today.

If Sri Lanka beats England in their quarter final game, Kumar Sangakkara and his men will qualify to play the winners of third quarter final between New Zealand and South Africa in the first semi final to be played at the Premadasa Stadium on March 29.

The ICC World Cup quarter final line-up:

March 23: First QF – Pakistan v West Indies at Mirpur

March 24: Second QF – India v Australia at Ahamadabad

March 25: Third QF – New Zealand v South Africa at Mirpur

March 26: Fourth QF – Sri Lanka v England at Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

First Semi final: winner 3rd QF v winner 4th QF in Colombo on March 29

Second semi final: winner 1st QF v winner 2nd QF in Mohali

Final in Mumbai on April 2.
