Average income of Sri Lankans up by 38%

<P>The average income of Sri Lankans has increased by 38.7% during the 2009/2010 compared to the income received in 2006/2007.  
<P>According to a survey made by the Department of Census and Statistics, an average household received an income of Rs. 36,451 per month at national level in 2009/2010 and the income they received during 2006/2007 was Rs. 26,286.
