Three women taken into custody for theft

<P>Three women have been taken into custody by the Katankudy police in
connection with a theft of Rs. 65,000 and gold jewellery worth Rs. 61,000
while travelling in a bus, the goods were found in the possession of the
women.

<P>The three women suspects were produced before the Batticaloa.
Magistrate and remanded further.
