New Metropolitan City Corporation of Colombo will not affect schdule LG polls – President

<P>President Mahinda Rajapaksa said the Local Government polls of five remaining LG bodies would not be affected by the newly set up Colombo Metropolitan City Corporation.

<P>Addressing a meeting held with the media heads at the Temple Trees today he said the aim of the the new Corporation was to strengthen their activities.
