Significant expansion in telecom sector

<P>Sri Lanka's telecom sector has recorded significant expansion over the last few years. At present 9 fixed and mobile operators and about 40 other companies are involved in a varity of telecommunication services around the country. They have recorded a growth of 40-60% over the last few years.
