<P>Government plans to distribute 2,000 bicycles to the North and the East to regulate the postal service in the remote areas in both provinces, Postal Services Minister Jeewan Kumaratunga said.

<P>He said the Government has allocated Rs. 15 million to distribute bicycles postal employees. " The Postal Services Ministry had distributed 4,000 bicycles among the postal employees in Monaragala,Anuradhapura, Polannaruwa and Hambantota Districts, last year", he said.
