The prices of fuel and gas will be increased from today and according to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) a liter of 90 Octane Petrol will be increased by Rs.10 while a liter of Auto Diesel will be increased by Rs.3.
The price of a liter of Kerosene will be increased by Rs. 10. According to the price revision the price of a liter of 90 Octane Petrol is Rs. 125, Auto Diesel Rs. 76 and Kerosene Rs. 61. With the gas price increase, the price of 12.5 kg cylinder of Litro gas has been increased by Rs.238 and a Laugfs gas cylinder by Rs. 10.
The Internal Trade Ministry has said the prices have been revised due to the increase in price of petroleum in the world market.
