Over 3,000 deeds for landless

<P>Over 3,000 landless families received deeds - Ranbima Oppu- from
President Mahinda Rajapaksa at a ceremony held at the Temple Trees, in
the morning.

<P>Families from Hambantota, Galle, Matara, Monaragalla districts and
North and the East, who were selected by the Land Reforms Commission,
were granted ownership of state land.

<P>Over 200,000 landless families have been granted land ownership by the
government so far.
