Over 20,000 metric tones of rice will be released tot he open market to avoid shortage of rice during the Sinhala dn Hindu New Year.
" We have taken this decision to facilitate the consumers and there will be no shortage of rice duringt he season", Minister of Cooperative and Internal Trade Johnston Fernando said.
