Don’t internationalise domestic matters- PM [April 07 2011]

Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne urged the Opposition not to internationalise domestic issues and discuss such issues with the government to find out solutions.

Premier participating into the emergency debate said the Opposition should not attempt to link our domestic issues with the international community.

“Let’s sort out our problems by ourselves.” He said as a Sri Lankan nation, we should be united to sort out our internal matters through discussions. We have the necessary strength to find out solutions to our problems in collaboration with all communities in our country.”

Prime Minister said though the LTTE was militarily defeated, their international network still functions with the intention of rebuild the Eelam concept in Sri Lanka.
