SL targets US $ 20 b export industry by 2020

<p>With an overall export increase of 17.26 percent in 2010, the government targets a US $ 20 billion export industry by 2020.

<p>Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen addressing the Expo Bazaar 2011 in Colombo said  the Export Development Board’s export strategic plan targets US$ 15 Billion exports from Sri Lanka by 2015.

<p>“The Expo Bazaar 2011 is the new initiative by the Export Development Board to create awareness among Sri Lankans about our exports and its diversity”, he said.
