A woman who sustained serious injuries as a result of acid being thrown on her succumbed to her injuries at the Colombo National Hospital. The deceased was identified as O. Renuka de Silva (40) of Kudawara Kanda Ahungalle.
A woman suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the acid attack.
The woman has been remanded by the Elpitiya Magistrate till 20th April,police said. (JJ)
