The Criminal Investigation Department has busted a large scale credit card fraud, where the suspects had used local and international credit card information in the illegal transactions.
Following the complaints complaints received from some private banks and the customers from Colombo, Rathmalana, Paliyagoda and Ja ela the CID had carried out its investigation and a suspect was arrested at a fuel station in Rathmalana. He is a resident of Trincomalee and had a number of credit cards.
The CID had also arrested three others suspects from Beruwala, Rathmalana and Kalawanchikudi who were involved in the scam.
The CID is further investigating the matter.
