<P>Amadahara Vesak Zone from May 17

<P>The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) is planning to host this year’s Amadahara Vesak Zone, coinciding with the 2600th Sambudhhatva Jayanthi, on a grand scale.

<P>The Amadahara Vesak Zone will be conducted on May 17, 18 and 19 in the environs of the Lake House building, with the participation of all Government and private institutions in the Fort-Pettah area. 

<P>Entries for Vesak lanterns and other decoration made out of local raw materials will be accepted this year as well and the relevant coupons will be published in ANCL newspapers. Attractive prizes are on offer
for the winning entries.
