Co-operative and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando has threatened legal action against the two wheat flour importing monopolies Prima Ceylon Ltd and Serendib Flour Mills Pvt Ltd for increasing the price of wheat flour, an essential food item in the country, without seeking permission from Consumer Affairs Authority.
The price of a kilo of wheat flour has been increased by Rs.4.10.
