The Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) is expected to hand over their final report to President Mahinda Rajapaksa by May 15.
The Commission has commenced preparing the first draft, LLRC Media Spokesperson Lakshman Wickremasinghe said.The draft, according to Wickremasinghe, is being prepared on the evidence received and analyzed by the LLRC. Expert knowledge had been sought in processing certain evidence.
The LLRC has held public sittings in the districts of Jaffna, Batticaloa, Mannar, Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Matara, Ampara, Monaragala, Galle, Matara, Puttalam, and Anuradhapura. The Commission concluded its public sittings last month.
