The government has decided to give an opportunity for the rehabilitated ex-LTTE carders to engage in development activities in the North and the East.
This was revealed by the Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms Minister Chandrasiri Gajadeera at a ceremony held to day to hand over 438 ex-LTTE cadres, who have completed the rehabilitation process, to their families.
Over 12,000 cadres surrendered during final months of the end battle in May 2009 and over 7,000 of them have already been reunited with the families.
