The Government through the expansion of irrigation facilities will provide the opportunity for farmers to productively engage in cultivating fruits and vegetables farming during off seasons.
This would facilitate farmers to engage cultivation in the existing lands in Moneragala, Hambantota,Matale, Kurunegala and Puttalam districts and newly opened areas in the Northern and Eastern provinces.
