Measures are under way to fill the vacancies for Youth Service Officers (YSO) in the Northern Province, Deputy Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Duminda Dissanayake said.
There are 100 vacancies for YSOs in Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Mannar,Kilinochchi and Jaffna districts, according to Deputy Minister Dissanayake.
There are 101 youth service organisations in the Vavuniya district, 62 in Mullaitivu, 93 in Jaffna, 63 in Mannar and 30 in Kilinochchi. Altogether, 349 youth service organisations have functioned in the Northern Province, he said.
Further, 2,161 youth service organisations have been newly established in Jaffna, Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts, the Deputy Minister said.
