A child of five years was seriously injured when a lit cracker hit her while attending a wedding ceremony with her parents succumbed to her injuries at the Negombo government hospital. The incident took place at Jana Jeeyagama at Bolawalana.
The deceased girl have been identified as W.M.A. Harasani Wirasooriya of Minuwangoda.
The Negombo police is investigating the accidental death.
