Motorists are advised to tale alternate routes as Galle road and Bloemandhal Road will be closed for vehicular traffic. Galle Road stretch from the Galle Face roundabout to the Ceramic junction will be closed for vehicular traffic from 6am to 1pm from today till the 27th of May due to Victory day rehearsals, the police said.
Police advise all heavy vehicles heading to Colombo to turn right at the Colpetty Junction and head to Colombo through Pithala junction, while all light vehicles are advised to turn right at the Galle Face roundabout and reach Colombo through Makan Makar Mawatha.
Meanwhile, Bloemendhal Road, from Arthur De Silva Mawatha junction to Wasala Road junction will be closed from 6pm to 6am on May 22, 23 and 24 due to repairs.
