Three journalists and a Navy officer were injured when the battery of the van, in which they were travelling, exploded, this morning. The injured were attached to the ITN and later they were admitted to the Matale, Peradeniya and Kandy hospitals.
The explosion took place in Karagahatenna, Matale, Police said.
According to the Police media spokesman Prishantha Jayakody the Matale police are investigating the incident.
