A 10 year old child traveling in a three wheeler was killed when it collided with a lorry traveling from the opposite direction at Dadella on the Colombo Galle road yesterday. The child died after being admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching hospital. The deceased child have been identified as S. N. Dananjaya of the Padukka area.
The deceased mother and his two brothers aged four and twelve also traveling in the same three wheeler sustained injuries and were admitted to the Karapitita Teaching Hospital. Police said the three wheeler was driven by the deceased father. The Galle police have taken the driver of the lorry into custody. (JJ)
