Veteran media personality Mohan Samaranayaka has been appointed Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation with effect from today. He replaces former Parliamentarian Sarath Kongahage who has been appointed Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Germany.
Samaranayaka was the former National information officer at the UN’s Sri Lanka country office and a visiting university lecturer. He received his letter of appointment from Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella at the Ministry is Narahenpita today.
