D. S. Senanayake College went on a rampage as they annihilated St. Anne’s College Kurunegala by a record score of 152 nil in their Singer inter school Under 20 Division Two League rugby tournament match worked off at Longden Place today.
D. S. Senanayake College crossed their opponent’s goal line regularly and ended up with a huge tally of 26 tries out of which eleven were converted after having built up a 53 nil lead at half time.
Number eight Devin Ariyakumara, Pradeep Tharindu and Senajith Dilshan werevoutstanding for the winners with four tries reach. In addition scrum half Rumesh Hasanka and full back Kanishka Saranga scored three tries each. Skipper Avinka Abeysekera touched down twice while Kapila de Silva, Lakshan Viswajith, Chamoda Perera and Vidura Herath scored one try each. Pradeep Tharindu was in good form while adding the extra points to nine tries while Kanishka Saranga converted two tries.
