Havelocks Sports Club produced a splendid performance to beat Sri Lanka Army Sports Club 36-13 in their Caltex inter club ‘A’ division league rugby tournament match worked off at Havelock Park today.
The Havies after their superb display against the defending champions Kandy SC last week got their act together well and went on to collect their points from three goals and three tries after having led 29-3 at half time.
Sri Lanka Army SC despite a good second half rally managed to score only two tries and one penalty as they crashed to their second successive defeat in the tournament. Wing three quarter Anuruddha Wilwara and number eight Atelia Uaisele scored two tries each while centre Angata Sae and Lee Keegal scored one try each for the winners. Full back Sajith Bandara was successful in converting three tries.
