Int'l seminar to share research on coconut [June 14 2011]

In a bid to find solutions for bacterial infection in coconut trees in the Weligama area, the Asia Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with Ministry of Coconut Development Board, Coconut Research Institute  and Janatha Estate Development Board will be hosting an international Symposium on 16 and 17 June in Luniwila.

The event would be attended by researchers in Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, West Indies, Papua New Guinea, Ecuador, Mexico, United Kingdom and France. The key objective of the event would be to exchange research mainly on disease control and also to conduct series of awareness programs.
