Indian assistance for self-employment [June 17 2011]

The Indian Government has donated Rs. 203 million to provide self-employment training to widows in the Batticaloa district, Deputy Child Development and Womens Affairs Minister M.L.A.M. Hisbullah said.

He said that the  widows in the North and the East will be considered for this program.

Under the first phase of this program 50 unemployed youth and 80 widows in the Batticaloa district will be trained by the Seva India Institution, he said.
