Indian assistance for self-employment

<P>The Indian Government has donated Rs. 203 million to provide self-employment training to widows in the Batticaloa district, Deputy Child Development and Womens Affairs Minister M.L.A.M. Hisbullah said.

<P>He said that the  widows in the North and the East will be considered for this program. 

<P>Under the first phase of this program 50 unemployed youth and 80 widows in the Batticaloa district will be trained by the Seva India  Institution, he said.
