Fisheries Ministry to replace 16,000 traditional boats

<p>The Fisheries Ministry is to replace nearly 16,000 non motorized traditional boats.

Of them,5,000 will be replaced by multi-day boats at a rate of 15% annually and the remainder will be converted to Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic(FRP) boats. 

<p>This will result in 8,000 multi day boats and 29,000 FRP boats by 2020.
