A dead body of a woman was washed ashore from the Kelani river near the Ceylon Tea factory at Wellampitiya yesterday. Police identified the deceased as W.A. Chandrika Chandralatha a resident of the Seewali Housing complex at Wellampitiya.
On the same day another body of a man was washed ashore from the Kelani river near a college at Wellampitiya. The deceased was not identified, police said. Wellampitiya police are conducting conduct inginvestigations.
